Bounty and Cultural Connection Through Food

Updated: Feb 25

This is my post harvest smile :). Today we got lots of collard greens, parsley and bay leaf. All from my mom's small backyard.

I am always impressed each summer at the amount of food that can be grown in such a small space. The process of growing some of my own food has really transformed me. It has been a great tool to foster a healthier habits towards food and wellness in general.

All of the greens you see in the picture are main staples in Brazilian culture, my culture. Life away from my home country is a bit sweeter through this connection with the earth and some of the plants which have always been a big part of my life. I feel blessed to still have access to them here and to be able to nurture them and watch them grow. You can do it too, even in a very small space. You have the whole winter to think about it ;).

See you in the garden!
