Homemade Granola

Ingredients:

5 cups rolled oats

1 cup nuts of your choice

1 cup seeds of your choice

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup oil (I like to use melted coconut)

1 tsp cinnamon

Pinch of salt


You will also need two large shallow baking sheets and parchment paper if you choose to use it. This recipe will yield enough granola to fill a 2 liter mason jar like the one in the picture.

Preheat oven at 350F. In a small bowl add all wet ingredients plus the cinnamon and the salt - mix well. Add all dry ingredients to a separate large bowl. Add the "sauce" to

the dry ingredients in the large bowl and mix really well to coat. Spread evenly on a baking sheet - no more than 1 inch thick. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Wait for it to cool, brake it up and add it to a jar.

Notes: Use gluten free oats if you are avoiding gluten. You can definitely mix and match the nuts and seeds. For this batch I used mixed nuts, sunflower seeds and buckwheat.
